Blood Drip Cincher Silent Auction - Fundraising For The Underpinnings Museum

Blood Drip Cincher Silent Auction - Fundraising For The Underpinnings Museum

I'm very excited to offer up this one-of-a-kind cincher corset for auction, created in collaboration with couturier extraordinaire Royal Black! This corset was created by Barbara when she visited my studio in September 2023 using one of my corset patterns with materials from my stash. She has kindly given permission for me to sell this piece to help fund pattern development work for The Underpinnings Museum. At least 70% of sale proceeds will go directly to The Underpinnings Museum.

Winning Bid: 4500NOK

(approximately 398 euros / 429 USD / 340 GBP)

Corset Details

The corset is a size 26" waist, suitable for around a size UK 14. It has a curvy cut, but it is not suitable for tight lacing or waist training. It's created from a single layer of American-made red, cotton coutil, with colour matched interior polyamide bone channels. It is structured with a mix of flat and spiral steel bones. It fastens at the centre back, with copper toned eyelets and cotton lacing.

The cincher has been hand painted with water-colouresque shades of dark red. It is embellished with hand stitched beadwork at the centre front waistline, with a mix of red glass seed beads and Preciosa crystal droplets.

This cincher is a sample piece with no labels and is not stitched to a regular retail standard, but it is a rare opportunity to buy a unique and imminently wearable garment created by Royal Black!

How to bid

This is a silent auction with NO RESERVE. The auction will end at 10pm CET (GMT+1) on 20th February. You can take part by sending your bid in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) to info@karolinalaskowska.com with the subject 'Royal Black Auction'. The current highest bid will be updated at least once a day at the top of this page, but please note it will not be a live total. Your bid will be confirmed via email within one working day.

This is a silent auction, it is not eBay. The final total will not be updated live, and if you wait to the last minute to bid, there is a high chance that your bid will not be considered. It is recommended that you send your bid in as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

When the auction ends, the winner will be contacted directly via email to confirm their win and shipping details. An invoice will be issued via PayPal, which must then be paid within 72 hours of receipt. If the invoice is not paid in this time, the corset will be offered to the next highest bidder.

Shipping Details

Shipping will be charged on top of the final auction price, at a flat rate of 350NOK within Europe, and 500NOK to all other locations. The garment ships from Norway, so please be mindful of any possible local tax and customs charges. I can ship to any locations listed on this page here. If you are based in a country not included on this list, please contact me prior to bidding to ensure it will be possible to ship to you.
